Aya and Tyler
Intention + Vibration = Transformation
Learn simple tools to uplift your mind, body, & spirit
Aya and Tyler fuse elements of music, meditation, and movement in a guided multi-layered experience to energize your life force, relax your mind, and massage every cell in your body.
The retreat culminates in a soundbath that induces the hypnagogic state, a healing state of consciousness in between wakefulness and sleep that allows the body's natural healing intelligence to function at its highest potential.
When we all tune into the same music, dance the same pulse, sing the same vibration, something magical happens. We become one.

Meg is known for her empowering and creative Vinyasa classes. Her teaching style is inspired by both the Ashtanga and Iyengar lineages, with a heart of Bhakti interwoven through it all. In her classes, Meg encourages her students to move past the physical practice into other aspects of yoga; breathing, harnessing of the senses, shifting perception, detaching from the busy mind and connecting with their Divine within.
Meg’s hope is that her students take a deeper look into their practices past the mental noise that crowds our minds. While cultivating physical and mental energy, her intention is to guide her students into a balanced center in presence. Meg reminds students of the tools they already have to take their practice off their mats and into their lives.
Meg is grateful for her wonderful teachers and for all of the people in her life that have guided her towards her spiritual practice. She urges her students to find gratitude for all of the teachers in their lives, too, including the ones that did not appear to be teachers at the time.
Meg lives right outside of Albany with her beautiful six-year-old son, Judah and her husband, Dustin. She and Dustin own a yoga studio right in the heart of Albany called JAI. She enjoys practicing and studying yoga, cooking, traveling, hiking, enjoying nature, and most of all, her time with her family. Meg loves making connections and building community in this wonderful world of yoga.
Kelly's classes are musical, poetic, and deeply spiritual. She is known for her storytelling and her ability to make the philosophy of yoga relatable, to bring big subjects into an every day perspective. Expect a challenging and creative flow, plenty of great music, a dose of philosophy, a bit of chanting, and definitely some laughter! She is honored to study with and be influenced by many great teachers including Dana Flynn, Raghunath Cappo, Joshua Greene, Cyndi Lee and Douglas Brooks. She is also endlessly exhilarated by poetry, clouds, the Bhagavad Gita and the deep wisdom of her 9 year old son Milo.
Sondra fell in love with yoga while dancing professionally in NYC and that led her to India to study Ashtanga with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois – a life-changing trip. She opened Sadhana Center for Yoga and Meditation in Hudson and then Satya Yoga Center in Rhinebeck.
She teaches students all aspects of yoga, including teacher trainings she directs, and those she co-directs with Raghunath, (of Flight School fame). Her classes emphasize a graceful flow of movement, a quality of devotion and a place for people to come together in community. Sondra lives on a small farm with her son, Mateo and their rascally dog, and crazy cat.
Laura Harrison is the founder of The Natural Yoga Method, yoga therapist and instructor, & author. Her work is well-informed by the historic roots of yoga but extracts it from its cultural packaging and brings it into plain and direct English, aimed directly at the people of our time and place.
Her main teaching is to empower her students to hear, discern, and fearlessly follow their inner rightness in all ways, which is the crucial compass in our human journey. She works with adults and children as a yoga therapist, retraining their bodies to prevent (re)injury, helping them to heal from trauma (PTSD), learning to focus, and disconnecting from old painful patterns of confusion (such as eating disorders, depression, anxiety), and so on. She teaches kids the tools to focus, providing an alternative therapy for ADHD. She leads a year-long yoga teacher training course based around one's own transformative journey.
Her weekly semi-private classes are an opportunity to have personal guidance and space to fly during one's own transformative journey in life.

Justin Wolfer, ECYT, I am a dedicated student, practitioner, and teacher of the art & science of Yoga. I walked into my first yoga class hoping to heal an injury and left knowing that I had come to find a greater connection to myself. I dabbled with yoga for close to a year all the while only doing the parts that I liked and felt I was good at. I avoided the all other stuff that I didn't like and told myself those parts weren’t for me. Something finally dawned on me one day, I thought: “its probably a good idea to start working on the stuff that I don’t like about my practice and probably my life too. It was a complete paradigm shift for me that yoga was not about achieving anything, it was about connecting to the process. We are never finished! I’ve been a devout student of my self and my own processes ever since.
I aim to develop and adapt Yoga practices that create Dhāraṇā (concentration) and physical intelligence. I believe that students can become too reliant on a teacher for answers or a philosophy that they never question or even the internet and other external sources and miss out on lighting their own flame of intelligence. I believe the practice and life ultimately become the teachers.
Justin leads in depth Yoga Alliance trainings, retreats and workshops. He is the director of Rise Yoga & Movement Arts Center in Saratoga Springs and the 200/500 hour teacher training – Skillful Action Vinyasa Method.
My love and deep appreciation for all the teachers in my life that have helped light the way. My teacher Raghunath and also, Ricky Tran, Gopi Kinnicut, Glenn Black, David Robson, and my father to name a few.
When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. And so it was for certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, John Smrtic. After making major life changes, John cosmically stumbled upon Jivamukti Yoga creators, Sharon Gannon and David Life, through the music of Michael Franti.
The love affair with yoga and the Jivamukti method began in 2006 at Power to the Peaceful, a music, yoga and spiritual activism retreat led by Sharon, David and Michael at the Omega Institute.
John returned to Omega less than one year later to complete the 300 hour Jivamukti certification program and began teaching in Albany, NY, in spring 2007. Since meeting the Jivamukti founders, John has spent an extremely rare 600+ hours studying directly with Sharon and David. He continues to study with his teachers at every possible opportunity and has had the honor and privilege to teach at Sharon and David's home on numerous occasions. Soaked in this direct transmission, John is passionate to convey their teachings and method as purely as possible. Using these teachings and traditional yogic scripture as a foundation, John blends wit, music and challenging, intelligently sequenced asana from a vinyasa format to make each class a unique experience.
Jeanne Licurse came to yoga through her love of natural healing and holistic education. As a Montessori teacher she recognized and valued the intelligent conversation, the nurturing environment and the remarkable sense of well being that yoga provides.
With her love of dance and movement Jeanne’s physical practice became poetry in motion and in 2009 she completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training under Mitchel and Tracy Bleier and Donna Jackson at SYJ in Norwalk CT. In 2014 Jeanne trained in the Yoga in Schools YTT at Kripalu in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and last spring she completed a Scridaiva Bowspring workshop at Yogapata, Wilton CT.
Jeanne’s philanthropic heart inspired her to start a non-profit company, Abeille Consultant’s Inc. which is dedicated to teaching yoga in the schools, natural gourmet culinary classes and the creative arts to people of all ages and athletic abilities. She is presently studying for her 500 hour YTT at Kripalu.
Albany, NY native Katie Collins’ journey of yoga began over four years ago when she attended one of Wanderlust’s first yoga festivals. It was there that she knew she wanted to teach. Fast forward two years, and Katie was introduced to SUP yoga through the teachings of Rachel Brathen.
Katie is now a 500-hour certified yoga instructor, BOGAYOGA stand up paddleboard instructor, and registered nurse. She teaches and shares her passions of strong vinyasa yoga, yoga for athletes, SUP yoga and conscious living to the world. Katie completed her 200-hour YTT in the summer of 2013 and her 300-hour YTT in the of spring 2015 under the guidance of Justin Wolfer and quickly learned what it meant to embrace her practice with mind, body and spirit!
Along with the physical practice and teachings of yoga, Katie also has a passion for holistic living, health and wellness and many of her students find her nursing and anatomy background helpful when dealing with chronic illnesses. Part time mermaid, Katie teaches her SUP liquid yoga across the country and has presented and assisted yoga festivals such as Wanderlust Stratton Vermont. Katie is a firm believer that yoga is to be lived, not just performed. Join Katie in class to learn more about diving deep into a yogic lifestyle, a path that cultivates infinite love and service.
Steve Cosimano began yoga practice at the age of 20 under the guidance of Paramahansa Yogananda with the Self-Realization Fellowship and began Taoist practice in 1993 with Master Mantak Chia. Since that time he has continued to learn different energy healing practices, in gratitude, from various teachers. His main concentration is in Medical and Spiritual Qigong, Neigong and Longevity Practices.
As a form of gentle exercise, Taoist Yoga or Qigong is composed of movements that are typically repeated, strengthening and stretching the body, increasing fluid movement (blood, synovial, and lymph) and improving balance. It is suitable for all age groups and all physical conditions. Qigong, Tai Chi and Bagua Practice creates an awareness of and influences dimensions of our being that are not part of traditional exercise programs. Classes provide general healing practices and individual practices to improve posture and respiration, reduce stress, induce the relaxation response, cause favorable changes in blood chemistry, and improve self-awareness and concentration. Research suggests that Qigong may be beneficial for Asthma, Arthritis, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Headaches, Pain, and a wide variety of common ailments, while revitalizing the endocrine system, and reprograming the Body/Mind for continued health, longevity and spiritual development.
I received my teaching certification in 2008 from The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute with Beryl Bender Birch and continue to explore different teachers, styles of yoga, and new experiences to further my growth as a lifelong student and teacher.
I fell in love with Yoga after my very first class with Heidi Ruehlmann in beautiful Windham NY somewhere around 1998 and am blessed to be working with her years later as the director of the Mountain Breeze Yoga studio.
My classes are alignment based, fun artistic expressions that combine various styles and techniques of yoga woven together with the transformative power of the breath. Students are encouraged to move from where they are, go inward throughout the practice, and fully explore with gratitude all that is.
As a teacher one can have many hours of instruction on the teaching and learning of yoga, but the best experience comes from spending time on your mat, exploring the mantra of breath, and moving your body with the intention of deep listening. I am inspired by the limitless places one can go.

As a teacher, he empowers students to discover this same sense of Inquiry in their own lives, by leveraging practices of Yoga, Mindfulness, and Meditation as opportunities for understanding the nature of the Self, mind, & identity. When we cultivate this Awareness, we truly begin to see with clarity, the people in our lives and the world around us. We begin to observe the world as it is, instead of living within the stories and fears we’ve constructed in our minds. We become more resilient, more compassionate, more patient, and better listeners. Kinder to ourselves & others. And we discover Stillness.

Casey's journey began along the south shore of Long Island. Whether it was running the Long Beach boardwalk, boarding in the surf, or meditating and practicing yoga in the sand, a deep connection formed with the waves. The rhythmic teachings of the ocean allowed for the perfect backdrop to quiet reflection of Self. Through this harmonious kinship with the salt and sand, Casey has journeyed farther to unite mind, body, and spirit with our great mother.
Through her introduction to Global Tea Hut she discovered that the marriage of water and leaf had a profound effect on her routine. The incorporation of tea to her mediation practice has truly centered her. Additionally, she pulls inspiration and influence from the writings and lessons of Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Saul David Rave, as well as Wude & The Global Tea Hut Family.
It has been through the incorporation of tea into her daily meditation that Casey has found her truest self.
The concordance of the leaf and the feminine divine is one of great importance and Casey strives to help all individuals find a connection with feminine intuition and to follow their true path.
