Jai Uttal

Jai Uttal, a Grammy nominated sacred music composer, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and ecstatic vocalist, combines influences from India with influences from American rock and jazz, creating a stimulating and exotic multi-cultural fusion that is truly world spirit music. Having traveled extensively in India, where he met many beautiful saints and singers, Bhakti yoga became his personal path. Jai has been leading kirtans around the world for more than 30 years, creating a safe environment for people to open their hearts and voices. In 2014 Jai released two new albums, “Return to Shiva Station: Kailash Connection,” a wholly new re-envisioning of his groundbreaking album “Shiva Station,” and “Lifeline: The Essential Jai Uttal and Ben Leinbach Collection,” an unfolding musical celebration of their decade of collaboration that reflects the myriad faces of kirtan and beyond.

Juggernauts: Gaura Vani & Viśvambhar

The Juggernauts are a Mantra Music collective built on the long-time friendship and collaboration of Gaura Vani and Visvambhar. Both artists have performed and traveled across the globe since their youth and have become a defining force in the explosion of Mantra Music in the Western world. Their music features infectious grooves, strong vocal harmonies, exotic instruments, and world-rhythm. Events are unifying and transporting - a mix of participatory rhythm and song, story and dance. 

Named after the epic, million-man ritual of the Jagannath Chariot festival in Puri, Orissa, the Juggernauts create music that is a celebration of the overwhelming power of love to conquer any obstacle in its path. They travel often to Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia performing regularly at festivals like Burning Man, Lollapalooza, Bhakti Fest, Wanderlust and eclectic venues including universities, theatres, temples, private homes, and yoga studios. Influences include mantra, reggae, Indian classical, alternative rock, Middle Eastern, and Brazilian bossa nova. Their other celebrated ensembles include “The Hanumen”, “The Mayapuris”, and “As Kindred Spirits.”

Donna De Lory

Donna De Lory’s exquisite voice shines brilliantly on her new release, Universal Light: Remixes From The Unchanging and Bonus Tracks. Remix masters including Carmen Rizzo, Mac Quayle, David Starfire, Rara Avis, Eastern Sun, Drumspyder, Freq Nasty, Atom Smith and Willie Lewis transform timeless melodies from De Lory’s 2013 masterpiece, grounding them in earthy, deep-trance rhythms that bathe the spirit in bliss while moving the body into the ecstasy of divine dance.

With a string of best-selling and much-loved albums—including Bliss (2000), In the Glow (2003), The Lover and The Beloved (2004), Sky is Open (2006), Sanctuary (2008),Remixes (2010) and The Unchanging (2013)—Donna De Lory has become one of the reigning queens of world devotional music. HuDost

The music of HuDost, the Neo Folk World Rock Ensemble from Montreal and KY, weaves a seamless tapestry of sound that renders tears and laughter in listeners, cultivating that nameless longing that abides somewhere in all our hearts. HuDost’s core musicians are Moksha Sommer and Jemal Wade Hines. Having toured the US, Canada, and Europe constantly since April 2006, HuDost has grown and expanded, travelled rocky and glorious terrain and marveled at all they can learn and explore. Moksha and Jemal Wade, in this time have grown as artists, as seekers, as a couple and as a family. In 2013 their amazing son was brought into the world.

Aya and Tyler

Aya and Tyler fuse elements of jazz, R&B, soul, and electronica in a multilayered soundscape for meditation, yoga asana, and ecstatic dance. Aya has collaborated with Blue Six, Sade, and Lenny Kravitz. Tyler is co-founder of Didge Project and has performed at Wanderlust Festivals. 

Aya and Tyler released their first album "Oshuns of Love" in 2015 which was recorded live in collaboration with Elena Brower, Kevin Courtney, Tara Glazier and Eric Stoneberg. 

Strong advocates of the transformational power of sound, Aya and Tyler have created Sing.Yoga, a program that empowers individuals to connect with their voice and use it for self expression and healing.

Ajeet Kaur

Ajeet Kaur is a fresh new presence in the world of sacred chant. Growing up in a musical and spiritual home, her discovery of sacred music and yoga practice to heal began at a young age. Inspired by her practice of yoga, music and healing, Ajeet has released three albums of sacred music. Her most recent album Darshan was celebrated as #1 on the iTunes world music chart, and her music has been featuring on the Billboard Top 10 for new age music, reaching many hearts and bringing with it a sense of healing and peace. 

DJ Taz Rashid

DJ TAZ RASHID brings a high vibrational energy to any room instantly by mixing the beats and rhythms of Love, Ancient New World, House, Kirtan, Devotional, and all the cosmic sounds. His vision is to be a channel to cause the expansion of all those around by tapping into the creative wisdom of the body and allowing them to feel, let go and awaken.

Taz has been producing and part of creating mindful events globally over the last few years and as a musician, he plays guitar, keyboard, Native American Flute, didgeridoo and hand percussion. He takes these instruments and connects to the Divine and what comes through has the ability to move his crowd to connect to their Divine higher selves. Recently he has been performing and DJing at events such as Yoga Journal Conference, Wanderlust Festivals, Hanuman Fest, Arise Festival, Bhakti Fest, The Zen Cruise, Bali Spirit Fest, Global Mala, and many more high vibrational gatherings.

With his expertise in producing and playing music for yoga and meditation, Taz's mission is to help others to create inspiring music playlists in their classes through breath beat sequencing and other novel techniques that foster a sound healing classroom experience. Taz's yoga music workshops assists teachers to create the soundscape for their classes which enriches the yoga practice and also supports the instructor to develop their own unique sound. Adam Bauer

A longtime student of spiritual practice and musical magic, Adam Bauer is an emerging presence in the chanting, yoga and creative arts space. His first solo record, Shyam Lila, will debut on Mantralogy Records in Spring 2014. Adam began practicing hatha yoga in 1986, and co-founded reggae-rock pioneers The Equalites in 1987.

A kirtan musician for the past twelve years, Adam played bass with Krishna Das from 2001 to 2008, and with Shyamdas from 2005 until his untimely passing in 2013. He has performed at hundreds of gatherings over the years, sharing stages with Ram Dass, Jai Uttal, Deva Premal and Radhanath Swami, among many others. He has played bass at Bhakti Fest and at every Omega Ecstatic Chant since its inception in 2004 (except for that lost week at Burning Man in 2006), and has accompanied esteemed singers like Gaura Vani, Brenda McMorrow, Karnamrita Dasi, David Newman, Daniel Paul and Gina Sala, to name just a few. 

Now accompanying himself on harmonium singing his own original kirtan compositions, Adam has led kirtan at world-class venues like Omega Institute, BhaktiFest and the Wanderlust Festival and at more humble gatherings in Canada, India and across the US. Through bhakti yoga, the community practice of kirtan and satsang, Adam continues his own journey of healing and transformation, offering a unique voice and perspective through these simple yet powerful ancient devotional practices. 

Carrie Grossman

Carrie Grossman (Dayashila) is a devotional singer, writer, and longtime student of the world’s wisdom traditions.  After many years of study in the fields of comparative religion and mind-body medicine, she spontaneously began to compose sacred music and later released her debut album, Soma-Bandhu: Friend of the Moon. Carrie is also senior editor of Common Ground magazine and author of the blog Live from Lee-La Land. She loves creative expression in all forms and is constantly mesmerized by the one sacred source whose light shines through all things. 

Stevin McNamara

Stevin McNamara has been playing and recording music for over 40 years. He is in the unique position of being an accomplished Composer/Musician and a Recording Engineer. This gives him total freedom in any music/recording environment.

Born in South Africa, Stevin started learning  piano and guitar at the age of seven. He played solo and in bands all the way through high school.

At the age of twenty one, Stevin moved to the United States, where he had more formal training at Berkeley College of Music in Boston Mass. He has been involved in music ever since.

Although Stevin grew up with the sounds of African Music, he also discovered Indian Music in the early seventies and studied the Sitar with Ram Chakravarty of Benares who was then professor of music at Wesleyan College in Connecticut. This diverse exposure to such a broad spectrum of music, ranging from World to Pop has contributed to the unique musical style he has developed over the years.

Tomek Regulski

Tomek Regulski is a classically trained composer and sitarist. He is a senior student of Acharya Roop Verma, the renowned sitarist and nada yoga master. Using this blend of classical and spiritual training, Tomek leads sound meditations while performing on sitar, various percussion instruments, and vocals. He also performs for yoga classes, has worked with outstanding musicians in the field such as Gaura Vani and Adam Bauer; and appears on Adam's debut album "Shyam Lila". 

Tomek is an assistant faculty member of the East West School of Music at Ananda Ashram in Monroe, NY, where he teaches workshops for sitar. As a composer, Tomek’s work is driven by an interest in color, stillness, and space; and carries the intention of engaging the listener through the finer details of sound and resonance. His music has been performed throughout the United States, as well as in Europe and Mexico.

John de Kadt

John de Kadt is an internationally acclaimed percussionist, poet, and storyteller. John plays ethnic percussion instruments from across the globe and has a passion for spoken word, whether it’s in poetry, song, rap, or story.  He plays with kirtan artists worldwide and is a founding member of the well-known devotional group The Hanumen.  Motivated by a love of the earth, community, and wisdom traditions, John’s poetry and story stirs the heart and awakens us towards a remembrance of ourselves and the wildness of the natural world.   His sixth album, Speak, will be released in summer of 2016.

Ishwari

Ishwari began performing music in the 1978 punk scene in Austin, TX, which coincided with her spiritual journey into the Divine Feminine.  After moving to NYC in ’81, she studied and performed opera, dance & world music eventually finding kirtan in 2000.

She is a hatha and bhakti yoga practioner.  She studied Bhakti with Shyamdas for 10 years, and through him found her guru Babashri Milan Goswami who initiated her into Pushti Marg (Path of Grace).

Christo Pellani

Christo facilitates human potential through experiences blending rhythm, sound, and movement therapies for personal expression, growth and well being. He is recognized internationally as an expressive therapist, master drummer, rhythm awareness drum circle facilitator, healing arts educator and practitioner, teaching artist, and seminar facilitator.

He is the creator of SOUNDFORMATION MUSIC, (tm) specializing in quality expressive and healing arts services for schools, retreats, and conferences through unique experiential classes, seminars, ceremonies, and play-shops. 

Christo is the author of “LIVING ADVENTURES THROUGH SOUND” (tm), a unique interactive sound healing curriculum, and he holds a residency as a certified Qi Gong and Sound and Vibration healing instructor for the Tama-Do Academy, California Academy for the Healing Arts and LIVE Yoga/ Wellness. 

As a recording artist, he produced 4 critically acclaimed “Soundscape Pyramids” world/ambient, therapeutic sound meditation recordings on his SOUNDFORMATION label. His collaboration with Stevin McNamara has resulted in several World Ambient recordings for the White Swan and Putumayo  labels. 

Christo has performed Internationally with many top artists in the Pop, Sacred Music, and Kirtan arenas, including Air Supply, Mary Wells, Fabien Maman, & The Breath of Life Tribe, among many others. He is a featured performer at Disneyland, various Consciousness festivals Including The World Festival of Sacred Music, Bhakti Fest, Esalen, and with “UDAYA LIVE, “ a streaming series of Yoga Classes and live Concerts based in Sofia Bulgaria. He has also performed with the esteemed LUNA NEGRA ballet, and many dance companies internationally.
